Sylvie and Patches are a bonded duo of female felines, born approximately on June 24, 2022. Their unique bond shines through as Patches provides unwavering support to Sylvie, especially as they navigate Sylvie’s ongoing eye condition.

Sylvie, despite her condition, exudes bravery and curiosity. She’s the braver one when encountering new people and places, which is truly astonishing given her circumstances. Sylvie has been diagnosed with endothelial dystrophy by a veterinary ophthalmologist, a condition affecting her corneas and causing them to appear white and cloudy. While it does pose some impairments to her vision, Sylvie is not currently blind. There’s a possibility of blindness developing with age, but it’s not inevitable. Currently, Sylvie’s condition remains stable, and she doesn’t require any medication. Importantly, her condition doesn’t affect her comfort or quality of life.

In addition to her eye condition, Sylvie is also deaf, but her zest for life remains undeterred. She’s a testament to resilience and determination, overcoming obstacles with the unwavering support of her dedicated foster and best friend, Patches.

Patches, on the other hand, is a little adventurer who loves to climb and be up high. She’s often found perched on the tallest shelves, surveying her domain with curiosity and grace. Sylvie, meanwhile, enjoys looking out of the window and playing with catnip toys and feather sticks. Together, they have a mischievous streak and enjoy the occasional game of knocking things off shelves, adding a touch of excitement to their dynamic!

This friendly pair may require a little patience as they adjust to new surroundings, but their hearts are full of love waiting to be shared.
