TNR Team Lead

Position: TNR Team Lead Volunteer

Organization: Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society

Location: Primarily Cranbrook/Kimberley but travel to neighbouring towns may be required.


Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society is seeking a dedicated individual to serve as the TNR Team Lead Volunteer. The ideal candidate will have a passion for feline welfare and some prior experience working with cats, either through ownership, volunteer work, or professional experience. The TNR Team Lead will play a crucial role in coordinating TNR efforts to reduce the feral cat population and improve the lives of community cats.


  • Coordinate with the public and respond to calls regarding the capture of feral cats for TNR purposes.
  • Organize and assign TNR volunteers to specific trapping assignments based on location and availability.
  • Participate actively in TNR activities, including setting traps, monitoring traps, and transporting trapped cats to veterinary clinics for spaying/neutering.
  • Collaborate with the Cat Team Lead and other relevant stakeholders to ensure alignment and support between TNR efforts and other rescue activities.
  • Provide guidance and support to TNR volunteers, including training on proper trapping techniques and safety precautions.
  • Maintain accurate records of TNR activities, including trap locations, trapped cats, and veterinary appointments.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of strategies to expand TNR efforts and maximize impact in reducing the feral cat population.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations and best practices related to TNR activities.


  • Some experience working with cats, either through ownership, volunteer work, or professional experience.
  • Comfortable working with feral cats and understanding of the risks involved, including potential scratches or bites.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
  • Possession of a valid driver’s license and access to a vehicle for placing and monitoring traps, as well as transporting trapped cats.

Time Commitment:

This is a volunteer position with flexible scheduling, but candidates must be willing to dedicate time as needed for TNR activities, including early mornings and evenings, and weekends, as necessary.
