We rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome local unwanted, abandoned, abused, or stray domestic animals in the Cranbrook/Kimberley region.

Animals for Adoption

Hello! We’re excited you’re interested in adopting a Meant 2B Loved pet. All of our adoptable pets are listed below. You may still apply to adopt a pet that is listed as “Adoption Pending” because not all pending applications are accepted and not all applicants complete the application process.

What you get when you adopt a pet from Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society:

  • Knowledge that you’re giving a loving home to a local Cranbrook/Kimberley animal in need.
  • At minimum, your adopted pet’s spay/neuter surgery, first vaccination, and microchip will be covered by M2BL. 
  • Support from our adoption team during your pet’s transition to your home.

** PLEASE NOTE: In the interest of fairness for all, we do not accept applications until the animal is posted for adoption. ** 

Adoption Fees

THERE ARE NO REFUNDS OF ADOPTION FEES, REGARDLESS OF CAUSE, AFTER THE FIRST TWO WEEKS.

ADOPTING VS BUYING
Please remember that your “free” animal will have additional costs:

  • Spay/neuter surgery
  • Microchip
  • Vaccinations
  • Initial veterinarian check

Your adoption fee from Meant 2B Loved includes the animal’s spay or neuter surgery, their initial vaccination, microchip, and a physical checkup.

Adoption fees help cover a portion of Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society’s expenses for transportation, food, shelter, spay or neuter surgery, vaccinations, and veterinary care.

Adoption fees are refundable and negotiable within the first two weeks of the Adoption Contract date.

Dog Fees

Dogs $595 (incl. GST)

Senior dogs 8 years plus $395 (incl. GST)

Fees include spay or neuter surgery, initial vaccination, microchip, and a physical checkup by a veterinarian.

We also have a supply of collars, leashes, beds, and jackets/sweaters available, so each adopted dog can be geared up and ready to go.

Cat Fees

Cats $170 (incl. GST)

Senior cats 8 years plus $70 (incl. GST)

Fees include spay or neuter surgery, initial vaccination, microchip, and a physical checkup by a veterinarian.

Adoption fees for other small animals vary. Please ask about the adoption fee for a specific small animal you have your eye on.
