Adoption FAQs

A. You must be a least 19 years of age.

A. Yes. Applying for adoption is the first step of the process. It does not commit you to anything, it just provides us with information that can help us to determine if you and the animal might be a good match. Arrangements will be made for you to interact with the animal if your application progresses.

A. You have found the pet that you think is right for you – and you want to have it join your family as soon as possible. We get that. We will make every effort to respond to applications as quickly as possible. However, we have limited volunteers, and most work full-time jobs, so it often can take a week or more before we have the opportunity to review all applications. As long as the animal remains on our website you can be assured it has not yet been adopted. We appreciate your patience.

A. We often receive multiple applications for the same animal. Due to volume, we are only able to respond to the first few applicants who appear to be a good match. We appreciate your patience and understanding – if others submit an application for a certain animal before you, we hope you will keep searching for a pet on our website as new animals are taken into care daily.

You can pay your adoption fee on our payment portal.
