Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue focuses on the rescue of unwanted and abandoned animals, including surrenders, within the Cranbrook/Kimberley area.
Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society is 100% volunteer operated and we count on volunteers like you to be able to continue helping animals in need.

Volunteer Coordinator
The Volunteer Coordinator is responsible for recruiting, training, and managing volunteers to support M2BL’s operations. This role involves developing volunteer programs, organizing volunteer activities, and ensuring volunteers have the resources and support they need to succeed. The Volunteer Coordinator will work closely with all departments to ensure a positive and productive volunteer experience.
Bottle Team Coordinator - Cranbrook
As Bottle Team Lead – Cranbrook you will oversee bottle collection, sorting, and returns for the Cranbrook area. This role may expand to oversee the collection of bottles in Kimberley and then transportation to Cranbrook for sorting.
Bottle Team Coordinator - Kimberley
As Bottle Team Lead – Kimberley you will oversee bottle collection, sorting, and returns for the Kimberley area. This role may include working with the Cranbrook Bottle Team lead to support transportation of bottles, cans, and milk containers from Kimberley to Cranbrook for sorting.
Dog Team Lead
The Dog Team Lead is a dedicated and experienced individual with a passion for animal welfare and previous experience working with dogs, either through personal ownership or volunteer work. This individual oversees, with the Animal Welfare Operations Coordinator, the intake, care, and adoption of dogs in M2BL’s care.
Event Planner
Meant 2B Loved relies on fundraising and events to help fund our rescue activities. The Event Planner will be responsible for a schedule of events as well as securing commitments from volunteers to help at these events.
Education Coordinator
An important component of Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue’s Mission is to provide education to our communities about animal welfare. The Education Coordinator will develop and present educational seminars for a variety of groups within our region.
Facility/Supplies Team Coordinator
Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue requires a space to house food and supplies for the animals in our care. This role will oversee the sorting and storing of these items and will notify the Board when items are running low.
TNR Coordinator
The TNR Coordinator is an essential member of the M2BL team, responsible for managing and coordinating the logistics of TNR efforts, which include trapping feral cats, arranging veterinary care, and ensuring their safe return or relocation. The TNR Coordinator will play a critical role in controlling the feral cat population and improving the overall health and well-being of community cats.
Cat Team Lead
The Cat Team Lead is responsible for overseeing the care of cats in M2BL care from intake to adoption.
Cat Adoptions Coordinator
The Cat Adoptions Coordinator oversees the adoption of all cats in M2BL care. (Position currently filled)

The Communications and Marketing Coordinator will oversee the distribution of emails, social media content, event promotion, media relations, etc.
Crisis Coordinator
Meant 2B Loved is located in a region vulnerable to forest fires, winter storms, and high summer temperatures. Those concerns, in addition to those potential crises which come with working with animals, need strategies and plans. This will be the work of the Crisis Coordinator.
Miscellaneous Animals Team Lead
The Miscellaneous Animals Team Lead responsible for overseeing the intake and care of any domestic animals other than dogs or cats.

Event Team Member
Fundraising events are an important form of funding for M2BL. Monies raised are used for veterinary costs, medicine, food, supplies, etc. As a member of the Event Team, you are an important part of ensuring these important events run smoothly.
Social Media Team Member
Members of our social media team are responsible for one or more component of our social media presence including posting of adoptable animals, courtesy posts (filled), thank you posts (filled), event posts (filled), TikTok and YouTube (filled), reviewing & responding to social media comments and questions (filled), etc.

Database (Trello) Administrator
The Database (Trello) Administrator is a key support role, responsible for managing and maintaining Meant 2B Loved Pet Rescue Society’s Trello-based database. This position ensures the organization’s information is accurate, accessible, and effectively utilized for operational efficiency. The role includes creating and updating Trello boards, assisting team members with Trello navigation, and ensuring data is organized and secure.
Facilities/Supplies Team Member
Help keep M2BL organized. Work with the Facilities/Supplies Team lead and other team members to create and maintain an organizational system for M2BL food, accessories, and supplies.
TNR Team Member
Be part of helping to control the feral cat population through the humane trapping of feral cats for spay/neuter surgery before returning them to where they were found.

Help the Dog Team Lead with all aspects of dog care – from intake to adoption.

Assist the Cat Team Lead and the Cat Adoption Coordinator in all aspects of cat care from intake to adoption, and beyond.
Cat Adoption Follow-Ups
This role is responsible for following up with adopters by phone or email within two weeks of their adoption date to ensure the adoption is running smoothly. (Position currently filled)

Foster Team Member
As a foster-based rescue, we are reliant on caring and loving fosters for the animals who come into our care. This role is a vital part of socializing animals and preparing them for their forever homes.

Neonatal Foster
Neonatal fosters provide life-sustaining care for kittens who have been orphaned or who are otherwise unable to be taken care of by mom. This is a big commitment with tremendous rewards.

Directors at Large
The Director-at-Large doesn’t have specific duties but they’re often assigned tasks by the Chair which can align with their skill sets.
Other than having flexible duties, a Director-at-Large is as influential as any other Board member. They attend Board meetings, can join committees, and are full voting members. A Director-at-Large can also serve as a committee chair.
