Hello! I’m Frodo. I was found on the streets scared and hungry. I’m an older gentleman and going blind so it was hard to survive out there.

Thankfully, Meant 2B Loved came to my rescue! I was found almost 3 months ago with a very large, bad wound on my neck; it is still healing but is 90% better so I’m very happy about that. It took me quite awhile to warm up to my foster mom. She learned that talking to me when approaching really helps keep me calm (I’m on a medication, Gabapentin, for anxiety).

After realizing that she would actually feed me twice a day (dry and wet food..yum!), I started to trust her. Now I let her hug and kiss me; but a few times I did bite her (sorry, mom!) so I still need to work on that. I really don’t mean to, I just need someone with lots of patience to show me the ropes (you CAN teach an old cat new tricks, BTW).

I would love to share a home with someone I can trust who will love me through all the trials we might face together. I would do best as an only pet in a quiet house. I am fostered with some dogs and I can’t control myself from trying to “hang a lickin” on them. You see I am a big boy but also a bit chubby (vet told my foster mom to cut back the treats); personally, I’d say I’m not fat, just “fluffy”…haha. I am kinda ok with kittens but with other cats not so much as I just don’t trust them.
