This is what the foster has to say about Rizzo!

Showed up on our doorstep in the snow and scratched to get inside. He is about a year and a half old. Has been nervous to explore the house, but is very content to be in my home office. So much so that he is known affectionately as my “office cat”. We are working on his confidence to explore comfortably. We think he would probably be a good apartment cat. Warmed up to his foster mom and the kids quickly. Took a little longer with his foster dad. They became quick friends once his foster dad spent some time brushing him. Has not bitten or scratched anyone or shown any aggression towards people. Loves to be touched and brushed. No part of his body is off limits. Will flop down for a belly rub, bop against a free hand for attention, sit in a lap or next to you on a chair like a perfect companion. Would rather get pets and cuddles than play. If he wants to rest will find a space under a chair to take a break. Likes to watch Cat TV on YouTube especially if it is with one of his people. Tolerates brainless human shows if it means he can snuggle.

Does not seem interested in climbing (has not gotten up on window sills or on my desk to look outside). Is content to sleep in the dog bed on the floor when his foster family isn’t around. Has not shown any destructive tendencies despite being in a small room. Uses litter box well, but enthusiastically and may need a covered box to prevent litter spilling over the sides.

Has been introduced to the calmer dog in the house (medium-sized) and tolerated her well as long as she didn’t move around too much. Seems to be more tolerant each time she is present, so may warm up to a calm, non-threatening dog. Will let a dog know that they have gotten too close by hissing. Did swat at the more active dog to let him know that he was in his space. This dog is quite obnoxious and has trouble respecting boundaries, so has not been reintroduced yet. Has not yet been introduced to the household cat, but will this week to see how he does. Have been getting them used to each other’s scent. Photos are of him laying next to me in a chair and trying to take my attention away from working on my laptop.
