Sylvester (or Sylvie), pictured on the right, came to Meant 2B Loved as a feral kitten and has been with her sister in foster care for approximately 2 months. Her foster describes Sylvie as "the bravest kitten I have ever had the pleasure to foster." She is extremely cuddly, so curious, and hilarious in her endeavours to check out her world. She has a few difficulties as she is deaf (has been since birth) and her eyes are clouded. She has been vet checked and her deafness is due to a birth defect and her eyes are cloudy due a virus affecting her corneas. Her eyesight and eye health have been checked by a vet and both are fine. It is not uncommon for animals who are stressed due to poor nutrition and environment to develop this condition. Often once nutrition and stress are controlled, the virus no longer physically presents.
Because she is deaf, Sylvie is always watching you. She does not frighten easily because she does not hear loud noises but she is extremely curious about everything and very dexterous with her paws. Her foster has learned to watch when opening a door and when she is walking around as Sylvie cannot hear you approaching. Despite her challenges, this kitten is full of life, loves to cuddle, and makes her foster laugh on a daily basis.
If possible, Sylvie would love to be adopted with her sister Patches as they bring the best out in each other. After their start in life they deserve a soft landing and a gentle home!
Sylvie is up-to-date on her vaccinations and has been spayed and microchipped.
