Meet beautiful Bunny. This lovely lady is in need of a forever home, but that home will need to be a very extra special one as Bunny is still untouchable after coming into care from a feral situation quite some time ago. While her siblings were quick to become socialized Bunny has proven to be a little less willing to show complete trust in humans. Don’t let that fool you though, she is very happy and content in her foster home. She doesn’t mind being near the people she is familiar with and is always at the door to greet you when it’s opened. She’ll even lay down you on the couch and stare at you while blinking lovingly with those beautiful big eyes, and then she’ll rub against your legs in complete appreciation as you prepare her meals for her. She will also engage in all sorts of play, but just don’t try to touch her, because she’ll quickly dash away.
Bunny is just happy to be safe and warm and fed and accepts love from a short distance away, and she has absolutely no desire to go outside. She can be handled but first needs to be tricked into a small space so she can’t run away. She is not at all aggressive when being handled, just very frightened of it. She clearly still has a ways to go and we don’t know how long that will take but we’re confident that it will happen and what a wonderful experience and feeling it will be for the person that succeeds in gaining Bunny’s everlasting trust and love. Meanwhile she will make a good well behaved house mate and a very good listener while always staying just out of arms reach.
Bunny would do best in a quiet home with one or two understanding and patient humans, but older respectful children would be considered. Bunny has lived with other young cats and kittens all her young life so another kitty might do her good but is not a requirement.
