Job Description:

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as the Bottle Team Lead in Cranbrook. In this vital role, you will be responsible for spearheading our recycling efforts, which serve as a crucial source of funding for our rescue operations. Your contributions will directly impact our ability to rescue, rehabilitate, and rehome animals in need, making you an integral part of our mission to create a compassionate society for all living beings.
Responsibilities:
- Pick up donated cans, bottles, and milk containers from our drop-off locations as well as from community members.
- Sort and bag recyclable items according to the requirements of the Bottle Depot.
- Transport recyclables to the Bottle Depot and ensure they are processed efficiently.
- Track and record the funds raised from recyclables collected, providing transparency and accountability to our donors and supporters.
- Collaborate with fellow volunteers and team members to optimize recycling efforts and maximize fundraising potential.
Qualifications:
- Must possess a valid driver’s license and have access to a vehicle for transportation.
- Ability to lift and carry large bags of recyclables.
- Self-directed, efficient, and hardworking with a strong commitment to our mission and values.
