It’s almost time for the most anticipated event of the year. Who will be the big wiener this year and earn the Golden Wiener?

We have a new winning wiener!!  Frankie beat out 3x champion Inka by a nose, taking home the coveted Golden Wiener (presented by our most amazing MC, Barry Coulter!).  Congratulations! Will Frankie hold onto the trophy in 2026 or will Inka be determined to win back the title? Or will a new weenie emerg as champion? Come back next year to find out (please let there be sunshine!!)

Mr. Bron Brons a.k.a Mr Handsome Pants - At 8 years old, this seasoned sausage is bringing charm, speed, and perfectly groomed ears to the track. With his eye on the coveted Golden Wiener, Mr. Handsome Pants is here to prove that age is just a number - and handsome is forever.

Larry a.k.a. Lar Bear - Three-year old Larry from Edgewater may be a mama’s boy, but don’t let that fool you - this Lar Bear’s got speed in his paws and love in his eyes. With his mom firmly wrapped around his little paw, Larry’s racing not just for glory...but to maker her proud.
Hunter a.k.a. The Little Champ
Hunter a.k.a. The Little Champ - With ears like wings and the heart of a champion, Hunter soared to victory in his very first race at just four months old. Now a seasoned speedster, he’s racked up wins across BC, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and PEI. Catch him if you can - this flying frankfurter is in it to win it!

Evi a.k.a. The Jet - Don’t blink - Evi might already be across the finish line! Known as The Jet, this lightning=fast lady has claimed first place wins across BC, Alberta, Nova Scotia, and PEI. After finishing third last year, she’s back with one mission: take the Golden Wiener and fly into first.
Inca - 3x M2BL Wiener Dog Race winner
Inca - A 3-time M2BL Wiener Dog Races Champion, Inca returns with her signature grace, speed, and perfectly coiffed coat. At 6 years old, she's in peak condition thanks to a rigorous training regimen of 22 hours of sleep and 2 hours of strategic treat-begging. She's ready to reclaim her crown...unless it's raining. Inca doesn't run in the rain. The locks come first.
Lewis a.k.a. Lewey-Lewai - Lewis who was born on Halloween which makes him a Halloweenie🤣🤣He is 6 months old and lives large. He is very loving and gentle boy and loves people and kids of all ages. This will be his first race and we just want to have fun and it’s for a good cause.

Frankie a.k.a. Frankers
Frankie a.k.a. Frankers - Fat and fabulous Frankers is ready to hit the track. This is her 3rd year competing and her 4th race over all. This winter she was at the Cranbrook Bucks game and missed 1st place by a paw. Don't let her size fool you, she has her eyes on the prize! Her favourite things are eating, sleeping, snacking and straight relaxing. This year is her year she can feel it in her chubby heart! Let’s go Frankers!!!
Leo aka Snooticus.
Leo aka Snooticus. Leo is 2 years old. This will be his 2nd year racing at Spirit of the Rockies! Although last year he didn't quite make it to the finish line, hes been training hard running from his new baby brother. (not participating this year). Watch the blonde streak sprint to the finish line!
Princess Charlotte 👑 is 2 now and ready to take the cup... of treats!! As long as she runs straight this year she may actually place🏅🎉💗 !! See you there rain or shine

Bonnie is a one-year-old mini daschund with a big heart! Full of sass, zoomies, and fearless spirit, she loves running with the big dogs, leading the pack and keeping everyone on their toes. Bonnie proves that dynamite really does come in small, long packages.

Ms. Belle Barkalot is a pint-sized wiener dog with a big personality. Equal parts cuddly and timid, she prefers a cozy lap over chaos—unless there’s something to bark at. With a surprisingly sassy edge, Belle keeps her humans on their toes, especially when defending her domain with her favorite pastime: barking (a lot). Don’t let her small size fool you—this dachshund diva has the heart of a lion and the bark to match.
